HER STORY

Aliya holds a special place in the Breeze of Joy story: she was the very first girl the Foundation ever sponsored. She lives with her family in Ramthakur Para, a village in Belonia, South Tripura, and today she's a strong, determined student in Grade 6 at Ridvan Academy, with a dream of becoming a doctor.

Her father, Altaf Husain, lost his job some years ago amid shifting government policies, a setback that hit right as the pandemic was already making things harder for the family. He has since found work at a shop, but even with both parents doing everything they can, affording school fees, re-admission costs, books, and uniforms on their own has remained out of reach. For a while, it looked like Aliya might have to leave school altogether. Once the Foundation stepped in, her parents made the decision to keep her enrolled rather than pull her out, a decision that has quietly reshaped what they imagine for her future. Where marriage and household responsibilities once felt like her only path, her parents now speak of her becoming a doctor as something genuinely within reach.

Aliya has a younger brother at home, and continues to perform very well in her studies, consistently rated Very Good by her teachers. Years into her time with Breeze of Joy, she remains the kind of student who doesn't let a hard year define her, quietly determined, and already proof of what steady support over time can make possible.
