HER STORY

Aavya is a Class V student who has been at Baha'i School Tadong since nursery, and she dreams of becoming a neurologist one day. Her family faced a profound loss when her father, Ram Prasad Dhakal, passed away, and in the aftermath, her mother, Chandra Kala Sharma, became the family's sole provider, working as a contractual laborer to hold things together. Aavya has an older brother, Aniket, who is 15 and in Class IX. Through all of it, Aavya didn't miss a single day of school. She continues to perform very well academically and takes part actively in co-curricular activities, carrying herself with a strength that impresses everyone who works with her.
