HER STORY
Baishakhi is an 11-year-old girl from India who carries herself with a quiet strength that inspires everyone around her. The eldest of three siblings, she has grown up understanding responsibility early, helping at home, supporting her younger brother and sister, and still finding time to excel in school. Baishakhi dreams of becoming a leader. Not a politician or a celebrity, but a community leader, someone who advocates for girls like her, who ensures that no child in her village is denied an education because of poverty. She has already started, informally, by encouraging her neighbors to keep their daughters in school. Since joining Breeze of Joy Foundation in 2023, Baishakhi has shown extraordinary dedication to her studies. Her favorite subject is social studies, and she speaks passionately about equality and opportunity.
