HER STORY

Saloni Tripura is a bright and gentle young girl from the village of North Kaladhepa in South Tripura. At just a very young age, she has already shown a quiet strength that reflects both her innocence and resilience. Currently studying in KG-I at New Era English Medium School, Saloni is known by her teachers as a simple, attentive, and cheerful child who loves to learn. She understands her lessons well and carries a natural curiosity that shines through her small but determined efforts every day. However, behind her sweet smile lies a story of hardship. Saloni lost her father, who was a daily wage laborer, just a year ago. His sudden passing left the family without a stable source of income. Today, her mother works hard as a daily laborer, doing everything she can to support their small family and ensure Saloni continues her education. Despite these challenges, Saloni’s journey has not stopped. Her school has been kind enough to support her in small ways, recognizing her potential and encouraging her to continue learning. But the reality remains difficult—meeting daily needs while also funding her education is a constant struggle. In her community, many children are forced to leave school early and take up labor due to financial constraints. Education is often a distant dream. Yet, Saloni stands at a crossroads where the right support can change everything. With proper support, Saloni can continue her education, build confidence, and create a better future not just for herself, but for her family. Education can empower her to make informed decisions and break the cycle of hardship she was born into.
